The easiest way to find out how many days of independence we are celebrating is to count from Independence Day first. The country celebrated its first Independence Day in 1947, and its 10th in 1956.
Similarly, 20th Independence Day was celebrated in 1966, 50th in 1996, 70th in 2016 and 75th in 2021. According to this calculation, the country is celebrating its 76th Independence Day this year.
