Two Swine Flu (H1N1 Virus) Cases Detected in Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Swine Flu virus or H1N1 Influenza virus has returned to Odisha. It is back after two years. According to reports, two Swine Flu cases have been reported in the capital Bhubaneswar today.

Among the 2 victims, one is a woman and the other is a man. Both are being treated at a private hospital in the Bhubaneswar. Their travel history is not known. It is unknown at this time that from where & how they got infected. 

The areas from where the two got infected, are now being checked to find out is there someone else who is affected by the same H1N1 Influenza virus or not? 

As per the reports, Swine Flu was first diagnosed in the state in 2009, with Swine Flu reaching the top in the state in 2017. Now it has raised concerns in the state after the corona cases have dropped. In the same year, more than 400+ Swine Flu cases were reported in the state with 54 deaths. 

The current Swine Flu in Odisha will also look like the Swine Flu from the past. As per today’s recent news, both the victims are fine & there is little risk of swine flu, Medical Experts said.
