People of Phataguda village celebrated the 76th Independence Day

One of the largest democracies in the world, India is celebrating its 76th Independence Day today on Monday, August 15, 2022. This day marks the historic occasion as India secured independence from colonial rule after two hundred years of oppression and suppression under the Britishers.

Today on this special occasion, the people of Phataguda (ଫଟାଗୁଡ଼ା) village of Tentulikhunti block under Nabarangpur district celebrated Independence day by hoisting the tricolour national flag in the village.

All the youths of the village along with all the male and female groups joined the event and make it a success. Due to their support, the event ends peacefully.

The flat hoisting event started around 9.00 AM when the rain stopped. After the flag hoisting, some girls sang devotional songs and were given prizes at the end of the program.

After the end of the cultural program, the village youths along with village secretary Mr Shyama Harijan participated in the tree planting program. Various trees were planted on both sides of the village road.

During the program and tree plantation activity, village secretary Shyama Harijan, Assistant Secretary Nishant Bisoyee, Treasurer Madhaba Panigri, village ward member Iswar and Tira Nag along with Karna, Jujhesti, Keshaba, Bhabani were present.
