In the state, the outbreak of the Corona Pandemic has risen again. Due to the new version of Covid i.e. Omicron, the number of infected people is increasing day by day. With that in mind, the state government has tightened the guidelines for January month.
As of Friday, all government offices and subordinate offices will be staffed by 50% of the staff. The announcement was made by the General Administration Department on Thursday. Starting from under Secretary, top officials come to the office every day. But employees will be involved in the rotation process.
Employees who stay home will be able to do the rest office work online. As long as they are available on the phone, they cannot leave the headquarters. If there will be an emergency call from the office, then one has to join the office.
Offices have been instructed to strictly adhere to Covid’s rules. However, the office will be staffed by 75% of the staff employed in the recruitment offices such as the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) and the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC).
The emergency services, including the SRC, Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA), fire, health, municipality, state election commission, etc., have been excluded from this rule. In these offices, all employees will attend and do their job as usually maintaining covid guidelines.
