In collaboration with the state and central governments, Vikash Eco Resorts has launched the state’s first Luxury House Boat in Barkul, Chilika. Inaugurating it in virtual mode, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that Odisha Tourism would also be an eco-tourism destination in India through such attractive services.
He also said that in the coming days, the tourism sector in Odisha will attract tourists as well as its growth. On the other hand, with the help of the state government’s tourism department, the port and the Chilika development authority, Vikash Eco Resorts will provide its House Boat Service to all tourists.
The inaugural meeting was attended by State Tourism Minister Ashwini Kumar Patra, Tourism Department Director Sachin R Yadav, Khordha District magistrate Sangram Keshari Mohapatra, and Superintendent Siddharth Kataria and many senior officials of the Vikas Group and local leaders.
At a press conference in Bhubaneswar on behalf of the organization in the afternoon, Vikas Group Chairman D Murali Krishna gave a detailed account of the Garuda-The House Boat.
Even the “Garuda” will provide the necessary services to all categories of tourists in compliance with all government regulations. Shri Murali said the house boat project would be implemented in Hirakud soon.
The House Boat has 4 premium and 2 sweet rooms. The boat will have a check-in time of 12 noon and a check-out time of 9:30 am. Even with advance bookings, tourists can get Garuda services, according to the Vikas Group.
