Modern Portable Healthcare Centre is built in the Swabhiman Area of Malkangiri

The Swabhiman area (ସ୍ୱାଭିମାନ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ) of Malkangiri district has taken another step in the field of healthcare. People no longer have to go far for health care, because now only within a short distance from home can be treated properly.

The plan that has been put in place for this has come true. The state-of-the-art Portable Health Centre is waiting for the inauguration. Similarly, all facilities for patient care appear to be available here.

The 50-bed state-of-the-art portable health care centre at Badapada (ବଡ଼ପଡ଼ା) of Kudumulugumma Tahasil under Mudulipoda Gram panchayat in Swabhiman area is nearing completion and is being built with the joint support of the Government of Odisha and the American India Foundation.

Its construction has been designed by IIT Chennai to meet the needs of the region. Similarly, grants for construction have been provided by MasterCard. It is learned that the construction was completed in two weeks and at a cost of Rs 2 crore.

For this purpose, trucks, trailers and cranes were used to build the rooms while the hills were cut down. All rooms are air-conditioned. There will be 46 general beds and 4 ICU beds with ventilators for the patients. There is also an oxygen concentrator system to provide oxygen to patients in case of an emergency.

Toilets have been built using modern technology. In addition, the convenience of hospital staff has been taken into account. So the room for doctors and OPD nurses to stay here has been set up. Construction is nearing completion and it is learned that Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate this Health Centre soon.
