A tragic and scary incident has come to light this morning. Several Maoist posters and banners have once again appeared in public places in the Chitrakonda block area of Malkangiri.
In the posters and banners, which were found affixed on a signboard, boundary wall of road and other places, the red rebels have opposed the construction of a pipeline project by Mittal Group.
The Maoist group have also alleged that the police are torturing the tribal people by destroying ganja cultivation and in the name of the crackdown on ganja smuggling and have opposed that.
They have accused the police of torturing innocent tribal villagers after accusing them of being Naxals. The Maoist group further warned the police of death punishment in “Praja Court” if they do not refrain from doing so.
As per the information we received, the Dandakaranya divisional committee of the outlawed CPI (Maoists) group has pasted the posters in various places in the Chitrakonda block area.
