The required license to fly from Jeypore airport has not been obtained yet. The DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) team visited the Jeypore airport between now and identified 65 major and minor problems.
The team said that the license will be re-examined after all these problems are resolved immediately and reported. Meanwhile, all 65 identified issues have been resolved by the department.
District Magistrate Shri Abddal M. Akhtar inspected them one by one. DGCA was also informed through the mail after the completion of work. Today, Jeypore MLA Taraprasad Bahinipati also got involved while investigating the airport.
The IndiaOne Air flight that won the bid came to Jeypore from Bhubaneswar for practice. While the plane was returning to Bhubaneswar, the District Collector, the Superintendent of the Division sent all the papers, photographs and video footage of the completed work to the DGCA through the airport authority.
Jeypore MLA Shri Bahinipati said that the green signal to fly from here has been given very soon as all the papers have been completed. The MLA further discussed with the District Collector about how a large 30-50 seater aircraft can fly from this airport.
