Yesterday the youth group of Khatiguda and Indravati town under Tentulikhunti block area came forward and cleaned the premises of Indravati Project Hospital. They also promised that it will be done even better in the future.
This Project Hospital of Indravati of Nabarangpur district was in a state of neglect for a long time. Many posts like doctors, pharmacists, technicians and laboratory assistants were vacant in this medical centre.
The day after yesterday, the government came to know about this and appointed 3 doctors, a staff nurse, a laboratory assistant and a pharmacist to this project hospital. There is also a plan to provide 108 ambulances to this hospital.
Since no one was living in the hospital and due to lack of staff, the Project Hospital was in a state of disarray. But now people felt a little happy because of the doctor’s appointment. So, to clean the hospital campus all the youts came forward.
Yesterday, the youth group of Indravati town, people of Khatiguda village and various people of Barangapadar panchayat came and cleaned the premises of this medical centre.
They also cut down some trees in the hospital and cleaned the roof of the medical centre, dustbin, drain, road, hospital boundary walls etc. Many people participated in this work and everyone said that the hospital will be made more beautiful in the coming days.
Seeing this effort of the residents of the area, Indravati police station SI Prafulla Patra and ASI Sunil Pradhan could not stop themselves and joined the cleaning program. During this cleanup, Sadashiv Jani (former district councillor), Sudhir Khura, Babuni Nayak, Gobardhan Sahu, Maheshwar Mohanty etc. along with other youths of the town were present.
