Heavy to very heavy rain will grasp South Odisha districts from Sunday

Low pressure is coming. Due to the possibility of heavy rain in South Odisha from the 6th of August, the Meteorological Center has issued a yellow warning to the Rayagada district.

The first low pressure is expected to form on the 7th while the 2nd one is expected to occur on the 13th or 14th of August. According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, low pressure may develop in the north-west and west-central Bay of Bengal by 7th August.

Now the state is receiving light to moderate rains under the influence of monsoon. Rainfall will increase from 6th August. The Meteorological Department has estimated that the amount of rain will increase from Sunday.

Heavy rain will grasp the South Odisha districts, especially in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Rayagada districts. As a precaution, the Regional Meteorological Center has issued a yellow warning to all these districts.

Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada and Gajapati districts in the next 7 days as well. Even though the month of Shravana is going on, the results of the rains are less and the agriculture work has been affected in many parts of the district.
