People have demanded immediate action on the sanitary conditions of the Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College & Hospital, Koraput.
In Koraput district, the side of Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College & Hospital is filled with garbage. It is not being cleaned at all. The town’s people have complained that the district administration and the municipality are not cleaning this place even knowing about it.
All the people of Nabarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada districts of the South Odisha region depend on this district headquarters hospital. If someone has some serious health problem then everyone comes to this hospital.
But there is garbage lying around it. The responsibility of the surrounding of this medical centre is not taken even a bit. However, due to this garbage, the people are suffering a lot, especially those who come with the patients to this hospital.
Along with all kinds of garbage, medical types of equipment, and medicines are also thrown here. During the rainy season, this area becomes very unhealthy. Bad smell is also coming during the day.
Mosquitoes have already multiplied their offspring in this garbage. Later, people are also at risk of Malaria and Dengue. Therefore, there is a general demand to clear this area as soon as possible.
