Usha Padhee, Joint Secretary of the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation visited the Koraput district on Tuesday. On this occasion, she visited various projects from Nandapur to Borigumma block.
Usha Padhee has held talks with various women’s self-help groups, including various government officials. She again visited the Koraput Coffee farm and was very satisfied to see the level of work. In this regard, she informed that flights will be departed from Jeypore Airport soon.
She only said flights would begin in the first week of June, although no date had been set. A 9-seater flight will run daily from Jeypore to Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam. IndiaOne Air has been approved to provide air services.
With the Jeypore Airport Central Government’s Udaan plan, passengers from South Odisha districts now can take advantage of travelling. Tickets will be provided to the general public at a discounted rate. Ticket prices have not yet been set. IndiaOne Air CEO informed about this.
