Since the beginning of the summer season, water scarcity and water problems are seen in various parts of South Odisha districts. Such similar news came to light. The incident was seen in the Koksara block of Kalahandi district.
According to reports, in Jharbandh (ଝାରବନ୍ଦ) village of Dahagaon (ଡହଗାଁ) panchayat under Koksara block of Kalahandi district, people are crying for the drinking water facilities. The drinking water problem has arisen in this village.
A solar water tank in the village has been out of order for a long time. As a result, the villagers have to drink a lot of water from a nearby spring. Other tube wells in the village have also been damaged.
Out of the tube wells that are in good condition, iron-mixed water is coming out. As a result, the villagers have appealed to the block and district administrations to repair the solar water tank as soon as possible.
The villagers are now using bad, contaminated water. So, they complained that there is a chance of spreading diseases in the village.
