District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee meeting (Disha), Koraput has been held yesterday in the presence of Koraput MP, Koraput collector and with many other dignitaries in the Sadbhabana Sabhagruha of Koraput.
In the meeting, two projects have been discussed and debated for a long time, but no results have been found. The Koraput MP has complained about various central government schemes, the poor condition of the national highway passing through the Koraput district, and the problem of mobile networks in remote areas of the district.
Similarly, he discussed the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme, Jeypore-Malkangiri & Jeypore-Nabarangpur railway project, PMAY Scheme, Jeypore Airport, Central University and Jeypore Central School.
The bypass road proposed to solve the traffic problems on National Highway-26, which passed through Koraput city, has failed in the last few years. The Koraput bypass project could not go ahead even after repeated discussions.
That’s why Koraput MP Shri Saptagiri Ulaka shows his immense dissatisfaction with the present officials. The visit of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and the handing over of the railway land to the administration is also not processed.
In addition, the issue of land acquisition for two railway projects, and the progress of the project, especially the central school to be started in Jeypore town, has been actively discussed. However, the Koraput collector informed that the progress of all the work is going on smoothly.
In the meeting with Koraput MP, Koraput collector Shri Abdaal M. Akhtar, Nabarangpur MP Ramesh Chandra Majhi, Koraput MLA Shri Raghuram Padal, Laxmipur MLA Prabhu Jani, Pottangi MLA Pitam Padhi, Zilla Parishad President Sasmita Melleka with other officials were present.
