The National Service Scheme of Gunupur GIET (Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology) University has organized a webinar on the anticipation (ଆଗୁଆ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ) and awareness of the second wave of COVID-19.
Dr. Alekh Pradhan, the Senior Paediatrician of Chhatrapur Hospital, was the keynote speaker at the event and he told social workers that it can be easily controlled by maintaining social distance, wearing a mask, regular washing of hands.
Loknath Mishra, a social worker, joined as the chief guest and alerted the volunteers. The project supervisor of the National Service Scheme of Berhampur University Dr. Dhruba Charan Panda joined the event.
The university’s registrar, Dr. N.V.J. Rao was also present there and added that transparency and awareness are the only means of avoiding epidemics.
Dean Academic Dr. AVNL Sharma delivered the welcome address. Rashmiprabha Maharana, Programme Officer of the National Service Scheme, coordinated the programme, while the host of the scheme, Dr. Premananshu Shekhar Rath lead the thanksgiving session.
In this event, Service Planning Programme Officer Dr. Jyotirmoyee Mishra, Tapas Chhual Singh, professors & female professors, Volunteers etc. have also participated.
