Anshuman Sahu: Passionate & Young Astronomer of Damanjodi, Koraput

Anshuman Sahu, a name among the young stars of Damanjodi and a young astronomer from Damanjodi in the Koraput district is all set to explore new stars in the sky.

Anshuman Sahu, a 10th class student and a young, passionate astronaut at Delhi Public School in Damanjodi said the Koraput area was the perfect place to study the stars, planets and space.

He said the location, size, and movements of the stars & planets could be closely monitored due to the clear night sky at high altitudes in the Koraput region and especially in the Deomali hills.

The 10th class student Anshuman Sahu had the opportunity to participate in a Youth Astronaut Program for the current year by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). He was one of the 150 students (young astronauts) who were selected across the country for this program.

Yesterday he returned from the program to his home town Damanjodi in the Koraput district and is very happy. He said to the media that, his father never neglected to answer the questions that arose among him or to collect and supply them if he did not know them.

His father is a teacher at the Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Damanjodi and was very happy too. Earlier also Anshuman took part in a Young Astronomer Talent Search content conducted by Pathani Samantha Planetarium, Bhubaneswar and was recognized as one of the top 20 young astronomers in Odisha.

He further received a high-quality telescope from the organizers as a gift. Anshuman, who is passionate about music, painting and space science, aims to become a space scientist in his future life and his success will undoubtedly inspire students in the region.

Without further delay, we can rightly say that today, Koraput is proud to have such an influential and intelligent student like Anshuman.
