The 74th Republic Day was celebrated yesterday at Krushidham (କୃଷିଧାମ), the premises of Govindalaya located in Soruguda Village under Nandahandi block of Nabarangpur district.
Govindalaya (ଗୋବିନ୍ଦାଳୟ), a well-known institution/NGO in the Nabarangpur area that has its own 31-acre space, where they organized their AT HOME Program yesterday on the occasion of Republic day.
A huge public gathering was seen during this program. People from Nabarangpur district headquarters and various schools, colleges, and government offices of Nandahandi block participated in this event.


The place is just 1 km away from Soruguda village, 13 km from Nabarangpur district headquarters and only 5 km from Nandahandi block. First of all, flag hoisting was done at 9 O’clock as per the schedule.
Tanuja Kinnar of the Nabarangpur Transgender Association hoisted the flag. At this time, the Soruguda villagers, some farmers, all the members of the Transgender Association & the staff of Govindalaya were present.
After this, breakfast was arranged and everyone praised it. The people who came later were scheduled to visit the Krushidham as it is spread over 31 acres of land. One can find different farm fields in this 31-acre area.
Later, a song & dance competition was also held with school children. At the end of the program, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders who participated were awarded certificates along with prizes by Nabarangpur Transgender Association Secretary Chumki Kinnar.




After the program, lunch program was also arranged. All the people who came to Krushidham were engaged in the dance/song program and the program was managed by Nabin, Sudhansu and Nishant, employees of Govindalaya. Finally, the event ended at 4 pm.
